I haven't updated in a while because I've been feeling extremely vulnerable. Overly emotional. Do you ever feel that way?

It's not so much depression or anxiety (right now) just a protective shield I need to use. It separates me from my friends, from other people, and from writing on my blog.

I don't feel lonely. I do cry when I watch Glee. I do cry a lot. I swear it's not because I'm a huge pussy. I'm not a huge pussy, just a regular one.

On July 1 I'm moving to LA for 2 months. So that's a thing.

Right now I really do wish I was able to write/talk/explain a lot but I'm just not ready. I feel ashamed when I get too emotional. I feel lame when I expose too much. It's like I'm almost too tough right now for my own good. I don't like it.

It's vulnerable. It feels fucking vulnerable. So I'm just gonna step away from my desk right now and walk down the street and let life happen the way it's supposed to happen so I can eventually make my way back to whatever the fuck it is I should be writing. With more clarity and less self conscious.

I have a deeply inner sad "I'm fucked" feeling, but on the flip-side I'm pretty sure that's the feeling that happens before things get good.

Ugh sometimes I just hate myself.

is when the first War of the Worlds film came out. Taken from the book by H.G.Wells. I feel that it's much better than the 2005 tom Cruise version. More so probably because i don't particularly rate cruise, but i think the colouration & effects are so AWESOME in the first film. I tried to 'downsize' my room today.

this basically meant i finally shifted about 20 tonnes worth of paper/rubbish i had been accumulating over the past 6 years. (they're all now stored in the garage. Ma had a go as she asked where all my rubbish had come from- i answered honestly, saying 'i don't know' as i genuinely have no idea how i have managed to collect so much SHIT) i moved some stuff to the attic too. Things that i really should throw away but i still feel they have some value, so i haven't. Ma will find these & probably give them to charity. Which in reality won't be a bad thing as i have that many clothes anyways.

Other than 'sorting things' i re-found some notes/letters/cards that i have received over the years. Many of which who came from Emma, or my other London friends. This made me really sad, more so because i can remember how excited i was at the time & it's made me love/miss them so much more. I found a letter from Uni stating that i had passed first year-i didn't just pass, i did pretty good too! So that, (because uni went tits up) that added to the upset.

God-these posts are morbid aren't they? They're not supposed to be, i think I've just had a relatively emotional day. I think tidying your room can be one of the hardest things to do. As afterall, though they're only material objects, they remind you of a time, place or person & sticking them in a plastic bag never to be seen again, is, in my eyes is soul destroying.

So here I'm sat, in my room that's been filled with my things since i was 11, & in some senses i still feel as alone as i always have.

It's new years eve today & like every year i reflect back on the past 364 days & years that have gone by & think about all the things i haven't done. I mean, i do think about all the laughs I've had, things I've experienced, & those i have met. But despite this, it doesn't fill the emptiness.

My ma always says that there was plenty of times in her partying days were she was sat in a room filled with people & yet felt like the loneliest person in the world.

That's a horrible thing to think, let alone experience first hand. But i have, on many occasions.

New year to me is a time to bump into people you have spent the past year ignoring or trying to avoid. You shake hands, exchange hugs & wish each other well. But why? why when for the other days of the year you haven't give a shit about what each other have been doing/going through. Why tonight? why is there a day for full on fakeness? I think as the years have gone on-my cynicalness have ever increased. So much so, i can only wish to have at least one friend when i'm old, wrinkly & very very bitter.

This is England 88 was broadcast. Despite one faux pas (in my eyes) -it was perfection. The actors, like in all of Shane Meadows' work are amazing. So so good & natural.

Speaking of which, i have now increased my crush on Joseph Gilgun, pushing it to an obsession. It's silly really writing about it on a blog, but still he's a really talented actor & i feel he'd be a laugh in real life too. Or so I'd like to think. It's always rubbish when/if you get an opportunity to meet someone you admire or whatever & they're as entertaining as a beige wall. I think sometimes you judge actors/artists & so on, on their work, or a character they've played. Only to assume they'll be exactly like that. It's not the case, though, i think like everyone else-i hope Joe is like Woody. As Woody, though fictional is an amazing person.

My Mother recently went to see a Tarot Card reader. The lady said that I'm to become a mother of three, as well as a nurse. God i didn't know i had that in me. I'm rather pleased though. So ever since I've become majorly broody. I love kids anyways, always have-Though i pretend they annoy me. To some extent they do, with their endless questions. But i also think that's what makes them so incredible. I can't wait to be a Mum. Hopefully a miracle takes place, for this to happen.

In Five days time I'll be turning 24. Like every year, i think back to those years i have lost, generally acting like a div & having 'too much of a good time' This year however I've gotten all sad. Not just because I'm nearly 25, but because everyone seems to have disappeared. OK-not disappeared, but some friendships are no more & others are completely ruined. People have broke up, got together, had fights & I've moved away. It's weird how much can change. I never thought i was someone who didn't like change, however the older i get, the more insecure i start feeling about it. I guess it's a sad trait to have, amongst others, but it's hard looking back at pictures & not getting a little bummed. I wish i was 19 all over again. Best year of my life. Quite alot of things are knocking me sick recently.

I think the older i become, the more cynicalness i absorb. I mean, i think i'm actually going to have to get botox for my 25Th birthday. It's rather disturbing.

I'd even go as far to say that it's gotten much more dearer since i was there in 2007. I felt awful as my Ma had saved for so long to take me & my sister, & once we'd arrived, i just couldn't really be bothered. It's such a beautiful place & i did have fun. I really like spending time & experiencing a different place with just us girls. That was nice. The illness, the general faff before we even got there (Thomas cook messed our booking up & the lady at the check in desk nearly refused to let us get on the plane in the first place) we then arrived to find out that they'd reserved two rooms, for 6 people, for us. How? What? Why? Thomas Cook are fucking useless, that's all I'm saying. Oh & i only had one space cake. It seems i can't even handle that no more. I am lame. To conclude i am very grateful that my Ma took us, only we didn't appreciate the rudeness from the Dutch (not the prozzies, they seemed to be quite happy) & now i have the Flu. Overall an excellent break away from Home. (Not.....a little bit)

but recently i've been re-listening to songs i haven't heard in a while, & for some strange reason, they all remind me of my friend Florence. Sometimes we haven't even listen to that song, or even that band/artist together before. I don't really understand the reminisce, or the connection to to song, that makes me think of Flo. Maybe because i feel out of the all my friends her & I practically like EXACTLY the same music,songs, sounds. It's weird. This is one of them.
